BENIN
- Pray for the National Board meeting that will
taking place in the later half of September.
Ethiopia
- Please pray for the organization of The
Pentecostals of Ethiopia. We have some
newly-elected ministers who will be serving in
their offices. Please pray for direction and
wisdom in their decision-making.
GABON -
Pray for the church in Gabon and its leadership.
Pray that God will give total victory over a
present challenge they are facing by someone
opposing revival.
LIBERIA - Please
pray for the UPC in GBarnga and Ganta. These
churches were destroyed during the war but have
recently opened. Please pray that God's Spirit
will arrest the youth of Liberia.
Rwanda -
We have received temporary approval to preach
and teach in Rwanda. Please pray for revelation
of truth to our contacts there and for the
development of a strong love for righteousness
in this nation. (We hope to be there the last
week of September.)
TANZANIA -
Pray that property can be located for a central
church in Dar es Salaam.
TOGO -
Please pray for the Bible school
in Togo. School began on Monday, August 27.
Pray for a fruitful term which will be in
session the months of September-November.
Missionaries Randy & Carolyn Adams will be
traveling back to West Africa on September 5-6.
Pray that God will give wisdom and discretion
for the purchase of land for the Bible school in
Togo, and for the building of the new building.
Praise Reports
CAMEROON
- Missionary Riddick reports: The month of
August was quite busy. We had many sectional
meetings going on. The youth reported a great
outpouring of the Holy Ghost in their
Conference.
The youth Conference in the
Littoral Province, many were healed of many
different diseases as the God's Spirit of
Healing visited them. One in particular was
deaf ears were opened.
The ladies had a Powerful Ladies
Leaders Seminar. We had a great breakthrough
among our women. They left encouraged and ready
to make some changes and take on the challenges
that face them.
The indoor revival in Mile 16
church has been a powerpacked meeting. Many
young people have been changed and the church is
excited about what God is doing among them.
KENYA
- Bro. Richard Shinuwa, Outreach Director,
writes: We give these revival reports as praise
to our God. In Nakuru Area, 14 were baptized
and 12 received the Holy Ghost. There were
seven who were healed. In the Coast Region,
four were baptized. In the Lake Region, seven
were baptized and in Mt. Elgon, there was one
who received the Holy Ghost.
LIBERIA
- From Missionary Albert Stewart: "Many thanks
to God for a successful conference in Section
III. The conference was held 15-17 Aug. We had
an average attendance of about 400. Four
persons were filled with the Holy Ghost and 1
was baptized in Jesus Name. Also, Brother
Walter Clements has been healed from chronic
back pain that would not permit him to walk."
MALAWI
- During the recent General Conference (August
16-18) - 140 received the Holy Ghost and there
were many miracles. (Guest Speaker was Pastor
Steven Well from Miami, FL USA.) Also, the
Balaka District Conference resulted in 45
receiving the Holy Ghost.
Sierra Leone -
National Superintendent
Christopher Conteh reports: "We are grateful to
God and to your prayers that our National
Elections came off successfully. We believe
that the final results will also go in a
peaceful manner."
