Hi, my
name is Gavin Wayne Smith and I'm 9 years
old. My birthday is July 29, 1998 and I
live in Capetown, South Africa. My parents
became missionaries when I was 5 months old
so this is all I know.
I love to
play with my friends and swim in the
summer. I don't have one church to go to
but we go from one church to another each
week when we are home. I never meet
strangers and just know that everyone wants
to know who I am and play with me. A smile
and play is universal!
I am in
the third grade and go to school year
round. The new year begins in South Africa
in January and closes in December. My mom
homeschools me but I get to go to Art
classes on Tuesdays and take guitar lessons
on Wednesdays. When we are in Capetown, I
get to go to Cubs on Fridays to be with
friends and have enjoyed learning to tie
knots.
