My name is Melinda.  My nickname is Moona.  When I hear it, I automatically say "Yes Livia" even though a million people call me that by now.  I am getting over something I should have been smart enough to avoid in the first place.

I have the kind of ridiculous problems that would make any textbook "blonde" re-define genius.  I love music that makes my head bob up and down.  I hate Harry Potter, because I think and I'm thinking his exposure to society can't be a good thing.  (Fabulous writing however, let me just say.)

I love my job as an Elementary Aide.  I love my life in Ghana, Africa.  I love my family (both blood and faith).

I don't know what I want, so don't ask me cause I'm still trying to figure it out.

I'm happy, most of the time.  I'm joyful all of the time.  I love Jesus.  I love His word.  All those people that I don't want to love - I love them more because of it.  All those people that help me live my life - I'm indebted to them forever.

I read, I write, I dance, I sing, I save the world before bedtime!  I would love to know more about you, I don't care who you are.  I want to think of more things I hate but I can't right now.  I hate that.  Taking pictures!  I love taking pictures!  (Umm... I'm supposed to be thinking of things I hate here.)  I hate my blog!  Just kidding.  I hope you won't hate it either (Moments with Melinda blog).  I love MySpace.

I love everything AIS (especially the teacher I work with).  Next August I'm heading out and skipping CLC because I fell madly in love with ... IBC.

Another thing I love is this "I have set before you life and death, blessings and cursings. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God. Listen to His voice and hold fast to Him." Deuteronomy 30:19-20

That's me! Melinda Poitras.  Choosing blessings.  Choosing life.
