Hola, from the tropical beaches of Ghana, West Africa.  I am Candra Poitras, the mouthpiece of our missionary team.  (By mouthpiece I mean that I talk the most!)  Presently my family and I are working on our 11th year in Ghana.  Homesick?  Not me!  This IS home.  (I do sometimes miss Wal-Mart though.  Can I get a witness!?!)  I am 14 going on 15.  I live in a four bedroom house with my mum, dad, and sister Melinda.  I refer to her fondly as Noona (Alien from Distant Galaxy.)

If you were able to look at my room you would know a lot more about my personality.  Only bright colors will do and the more butterflies the better.

I should probably mention school, huh?  I am home schooled.  Just started high school before Christmas.  Math is my favorite subject.  I am now trying to learn how to play the violin.  (Much to the chagrin of my family.)

Ghana's great and I love it here.  The people are so kind.  Once for school I had to read this book all about how MKs have three cultures, but I don't agree.  We have one culture, and that is the one that we make for ourselves.
