Gerry and Darla McLean

Nigeria

Gerry and Darla McLean arrived in Nigeria as AIM workers on June 1, 1997, and were subsequently appointed as missionaries at the General Conference in Greensboro, North Carolina, in 1998. Initially their primary missionary involvement was to operate the national Bible School. To this end a ground breaking service was held on July 16, 2003, for the construction of a 12,000 square foot Bible School in Enugu.

Brother McLean also teaches Oneness seminars throughout Nigeria. He stated, “In the last three years over 1,100 Trinitarian ministers have received a revelation of the mighty God in Christ and have been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Many of these pastors have returned to their home churches to baptize their entire congregations in Jesus name. As a result the work has grown considerably in the last two years with the licensing of new ministers and the addition of new churches.”

The McLean’s have three children, Andrew, Brian and Heather.  Andrew his wife, Shyla, and they three boys, Josiah, Seth and Ethan, reside in Potts Camp, Mississippi where Andrew is the Minister of Music for Bro Steve Wilson and Bro. Vasquez.  Andrew also has a singing group called “Testify.”  Their second son Brian is married to Laura, and they have a daughter, Mahala, they attend Bro. Arless and Richard Glass’ church in Pasadena, Texas.  Brian is a licensed minister with the UPCI and also serves as a Chaplain for the Pasadena Police Department along with his secular job.  Their daughter Heather is currently working as a teacher in Nevada.
