Africa Network of Prayer:
Regional Coordinator - Vickie Richardson

The Africa Network of Prayer was first started in 1996 as an arm of the World Network of Prayer.  After the basic outline of the WNOP was defined, the ANOP began to fit its aims and goals to correspond with theirs.  Our main purpose is to promote prayer throughout the region of Africa.  We want to see the church of Africa be a church committed to prayer.

There are over thirty National Coordinators who network the churches in their nations to unify and focus their prayers for the needs of the local churches and the national church.

The coordinators also send in their prayer requests to the ANOP who networks the countries of Africa to focus their prayers on the specific needs of the different national churches. In turn, the ANOP works as an extension of the World Network Of Prayer and sends their prayer requests to North American Church.

Our motto in Africa is that although we are in need of prayer, we also want to be a church that is in prayer.  AFRICA IN PRAYER.  The African church knows the power of prayer, we know how to pray, and we know the God who answers prayer, so we pray, pray, pray.
