The Ghanaian church supervised the infant church which began in 1972 as an outreach from Ghana under the supervision of Robert Rodenbush, missionary.  The first UPC resident missionaries to Togo arrived in August, 1983.  According to reports, Togo now has 2,400 constituents, 26 ministers and 44 churches and preaching points.
