Denzil and Freida Richardson raised their son, Jerry, as a MK in the Philippines. No one who sensed his burden for missions at Conquerors Bible College or in his Tennessee pastorates was surprised when he and his wife received missionary appointment in October 1974. They worked with the senior Richardsons in Madagascar for six years.
When his parents retired in 1981, Jerry Richardson assumed the leadership of the Malagasy church and continued to direct it with vision and excellence. Brother Richardson’s experience in Madagascar prepared him for added responsibility and a broader task. In September 1996 the Foreign Missions Board appointed him as the regional director of the Africa Region. He stepped away from the vibrant, strong, revival church in Madagascar to lead the continent in unprecedented church growth and end time revival. Sister Richardson coordinates the powerhouse and impetus for this through her efforts with the Africa Network of Prayer.
Anyone who knows Jerry and Vickie Richardson must conclude that they have a passion for souls both in Africa and around the entire world.
The Richardsons have two children, Chris and Jere. Chris along with his wife, Paula, and two children, Richae and Jared, are currently serving as missionaries to the island nation of Madagascar. Jere and her three children, Matthew, Nathan and Nikki live in St. Charles, MO and attend church at The Sanctuary in Hazelwood.
